Library Membership

  • Library membership is open to all SEGi College Sarawak staffs and registered students. 

  • Library member is required to provide the SEGi College Sarawak identification number card as proof to used library service and facilities.

  • Free membership for active SEGi College Sarawak patron.

  • Membership for students/ staff is considered terminated once the Withdrawal/ Exit form has been stamped and verified.

External Membership

External Members, SEGians Family Members and Corporate Members are eligible for external library membership services at all SEGi University & Colleges Libraries. On the other hand, members of the public (aged 18 years old and above) who wished to use all SEGi University & Colleges Libraries may also apply to become an external library member. Children between the ages of 0 and 17 are entitle for free External Membership, but they must be under members of their Guardians.

Application Procedures and Rules:

  • Fill up the external membership form and after registered, please notified the librarian via email at libraryswk@segi.edu.my or scpg_library@segi.edu.my

  • Membership card is not transferable.

  • Members are responsible for all item borrowed.

  • Fines are imposed on library materials returned after the due date.

  • Users with overdue items outstanding are blocked from borrowing or renewing library materials until the overdue items are returned and the fines are cleared.

  • Overdue items will be charged RM 1.00 per item per day.

  • Any Item that is lost or destroyed must be replaced. The member must replace the item subject to conditions or pay the cost of replacing the item.

  • Any item borrowed can be renewed only once for the new extended period if the item is not overdue or has not been reserved by another user or recalled by the library management.

  • Users may reserve an item that is on loan to another user.

  • Once the item is returned, they will be notified and the item on hold will be kept for 3 days, after which it will be returned to the shelf.

  • All loaned out items are subject to recall by the Library Management. The recalled items must be return within seven (7) days from the recall date.

SEGi e-Resources

  1. External members who have opted for online resources have access to our e-resources.

  2. Library online databases can only be accessed within the library's premises.

  3. Electronic Resources that are accessible to SEGi University & Colleges External Member are:

  • Emerald

  • ProQuest Education Journal with ERIC

  • ProQuest e-Book Central
