Borrowing

  • Part-time academic staff MUST bring along an authorization letter signed by the respective Dean/Head of Faculty/School/Centre on every loan visit.

  • Part-time academic staff must clear their ‘Exit forms’ with the Library before HR could release their last pay-cheque when they are no longer engaged as part-time academic staff.

  • Patrons must produce their staff tag or student ID for book loan transactions.

Renewal

  • Patrons are allowed to renew all items they borrowed for one time only, provided there is no reservation made under that particular title and the patron does not have fines or other overdue books.

  • Renewals can be made via e-mail (libraryswk@segi.edu.my) or directly at the Circulation/Library Counter during opening hours.

  • Request for renewal via email will only be processed if the email is received during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: before 6.30 pm
Saturday & Sunday: before 12.00pm
Otherwise, it will be processed the following day.

 

  • Kindly provide book number (0001– XXXXXX) normally stated at the inside back cover of the book.

  • No renewals will be done on Public Holidays or when the Library is closed.

Please note that: All books are allowed to be renewed for one time only, provided no reservation is made under that particular title.

Reservation

  • Reservation of books that are checked-out can be done at the Circulation Counter during opening hours.

  • Reserved books shall be kept for 3 days before it is returned to the shelves or given to the next borrower, if any.
